E is for Easter Fair

As ever, Easter bank holiday weekend meant the travelling fair was in town, so as it sets up not far from where I live I took a wander over to see what I could see. The sights and smells reminded me so much of the fairgrounds of my childhood, I found myself looking beyond the inevitably eye-catching colours to wanting to capture the traditional shapes and structures of my memory…

My theme for this year’s April A-Z Challenge is ‘My London A-Z’. I’ve found living in London to be very different from just visiting; in general I live a very ordinary life far removed from the craziness of the city itself, so I thought it might be fun to share my everyday experience with you all in images and words…

What an interesting take on the fair to get past the eye-bleeding colours to b&w!

Thanks – the colour versions just seemed to be too much, so I think I prefer them this way 🙂
