Weekly Photo Challenge: Earth

For a country girl like me living in the big city of London, the importance of feeling bare earth underfoot from time to time cannot be understimated. I tire all too quickly of the constantly intolerant surfaces of paving stones, concrete, tarmac, and frequently yearn for the undulating natural forgiveness of lush grass, dry dirt, or even squelching mud.

Luckily we live close to the open green space of Wanstead Flats, and when too much crazy city crowds me I can ground myself regularly on the beautiful raw earth – each of these images was taken no more than 10 minutes easy walk from our house ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy that you are so close to nature when you need grounding. Looks like a lovely pathway. Nature is a blessing for the soul. ๐Ÿ™‚

Having a place nearby where you can get into nature is SO important. I’m glad you have one. It makes all the difference.
