Daily Prompt: City

Cities are inevitably made up of a rush of buildings, busy streets and railway tracks, but in many places there are also quieter urban waterways wending their way along in the background, if you know where to look, embracing a far slower pace of life.

Everyone knows the magnificent River Thames flows right through the middle of London, but there are still many other smaller tributary rivers joining it along the way.

The River Lea waterways pass by and through the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, East London, and a walk along the towpath here feels a world away from the hustle and bustle going on all around 🙂
