Cee’s Which Way Challenge: City of London Cemetery


The City of London Cemetery in Manor Park, East London is a huge public space, covering 200 acres in total with over seven miles of roadways, 32 acres of formal gardens and five ceremonial chapels located within it. It certainly is a beautifully peaceful resting place, and over the years has become one of my favourite quiet spaces to wander and ponder… πŸ™‚

One Word Photo Challenge: Child


I haven’tΒ  joined in with this challenge for a while, so thought I’d have a go this week with these images of children playing in and around one small part of an extensive open-space ground-level water-feature fountain at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, East London.

When switched off, all that is visible is a series of darker curvy outlines dotted with circular gratings set flush to the ground – and rather than being released at a constant pressure, the water comes and goes at varying heights at seemingly random times, which causes squeals of delight as an excited anticipation rises along with the height of the suddenly squirting water plumes – what fun!Β  πŸ™‚
