Discover Challenge: Portrait

Self-portrait

This is me, taken this afternoon – a self-conscious self-portrait, up close and personal. A bit shy, a bit uncomfortable at being on the ‘wrong’ side of the lens, but nevertheless not afraid of facing up to the reality of myself as I am, greying hair, wrinkles and allΒ  ❀

Very nice. It’s good to see your face. It’s a little hard to visualize you from the avatar πŸ˜‰

Since meeting so many bloggers in person at the Blogger’s Bash this summer, I’ve realised how nice it feels to interact with people you can actually visualise when you’re talking with them online πŸ™‚

I always like to put a face to name. It’s a great photo and very nice to ‘meet’ you πŸ™‚

You’re looking great,Ruth. It was a pleasure to meet you at the Bloggers Bash. At least I was able to finally put a face to the blog before this post was published.

Ah, that’s nice to hear, Ruth. I have briefly come back, but as soon as the book is back from my Editor, Esther (who was at the Bash), I’ll be disappearing again.
I’ve got a lot planned for the blog once I’m back full time.

Gorgeous Reality. Be proud of the greys – they show you have lived life. You are much braver than me – I hate close ups of my face as I can see all the age spots. My kids say they don’t matter, but they interrupt my fantasy of what I look like πŸ™‚

Love it. I’m the same way. Love taking pictures but hate to be on the receiving end. Lovely photo.

Great picture! I tend to avoid pics as well, generally speaking. I welcome the silvery strands that have started cropping up on my head, but not so much the wrinkles (funny, right?)

Luckily my failing eyesight means I don’t notice my wrinkles so much… πŸ™‚
