Hi, I’m Ruth and this is my latest iteration of a creative presence online πŸ™‚

I’ve blogged previously on quietcalliope and madmeanderingme, and although in many ways this blog is no more than a continuation of what has gone before, I just felt that I wanted to start afresh – new name, new theme, but inevitably still the same old me.

I wanted to find a simple name that more clearly describes my blog content – Image & Word may not sound very exciting but it’s exactly what you’ll find here; images made by me (unless otherwise stated) and words written by me (ditto).

So here I am once more with a brand new blog, but still with the same intention of sharing my everyday experience of life as I see it – welcome to my world!

PSΒ  Here are a couple of links to random posts that hopefully add a bit more flavour to the above ‘about’… πŸ™‚

Lol – I recreate myself in the blogging world every few years. Same stuff but feels fresh! Your blog looks nice and reads well. I am an East London resident so I’m loving all the London pictures.

Thank you so much for thinking of me Christel, but I’ve decided to keep this blog award free – congratulations on your own nomination though πŸ™‚

Hi, Ruth. I came over from Hugh’s blog and realized I have read your “p” word prompt at Linda Hill’s SoCS. Small world. Well, now I’m following so I can enjoy your images and words.

I stumbled on your blog while randomly picking up posts from The Daily Post’s one-word prompt, Privacy. I read a few of your posts & really enjoyed them. I think you’ve got a sharp pair of eyes, a great sense of humour & an amazing fluidity with your pen! Glad to follow you! πŸ™‚

So happy to have come across this post. I love England. Been there once a few years back. Looks like we have similar interests.

I loved the image of you jumping off the ground . You seemed to be brave enough to risk falling , unconcerned about looking unconventional and this intrigued me to visit your blog . I find your blog a nice normal blog for older women who embrace their life and revel in it . As a granny to three adorable munchkins I complete understand where you are coming from . Love your creative energy.
